Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need Sex Coaching?

If what’s stopping you from feeling connected involves intimacy or sex, then seeing a Sex Coach can help you address those barriers in a way that feels authentic to you. I take a holistic approach to the work, incorporating the entirety of the client to help them unpack issues such as shame, insecurity, or attachment difficulties that prevent them from accessing their core selves. Once these are addressed, it allows clients to experience a sex life full of self-ownership and acceptance!

What does a Sex Coach do that my other therapist or coach can’t?

Many of my clients come from referrals from their primary therapist! While traditional therapy can be right for many people, sex, love, and romance can be difficult to discuss because they are loaded with emotional and cultural narratives. Traditional therapists have much to offer, but they may not have the training and experience to meet your needs. It’s like the difference between going to your family physician vs a specialist. However, if you are looking to address mental health issues, please reach out to a licensed mental health professional.

What’s so different about your approach?

As a specialist, I draw from a multitude of therapeutic modalities. This is where experience and training become paramount. In traditional therapy, sex may come up as a secondary topic, or as an outcome to be managed. However, with a sex therapist, sex will be the primary focus of our collaboration, where you will have the benefit of years of studies and techniques specifically dedicated to this area of expertise. Furthermore, as a sex coach, sessions are looking at more solution-focused techniques that can achieve your goals long-term.

Do I have sex during my session?

No. All sessions are fully clothed.

So, no touching at all?

No, but I support you touching yourself on your own time.

Do my sessions all have to be sex-related?

Not at all! Sex and Intimacy are closely related to other issues in your life. Our sessions are designed to treat the person as a whole. It is recommended that you have a primary therapist. For example, treating issues like depression and anxiety can help you find your sense of self again - which will benefit your sex life! If you have a therapist, I can work with your individual/couples therapist to determine the right long-term plan for you.

How much does this cost?

We are a coaching practice, so it is considered an out-of-pocket cost. Please contact me for rates!
